Prospect Park Parade Grounds
Originally set aside for military drills after the Civil War, this 40-acre flat parcel in the southeast corner of Prospect Park today proves ideal for nearly every kind of sport. There are tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, baseball diamonds (where the great Brookly native Sandy Koufax got his start), soccer and football fields, a playground, and dog run.
