Daytime is an all-day café that bills itself as “community focused,” but that works the other way around, too. Since opening in 2019, it has become a focal point for the community, open during the crucial daylight hours, from 7:30 a.m. (8:00 a.m. on weekends) to 5:30 p.m. In other words: folks go for a first hit of caffeine (seasonal roasts from Loveless Coffee in Bushwick) or a brunch-y late breakfast (bread and baked goods from Bien Cuit) or a vegetable-forward lunch or afternoon tea. It’s a daily habit.
